One classic trail to investigate in Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park is the Seven Wonders Trail. This trail takes you past seven iconic rock formations that include scupted arches, colourful red and pink pastel sandstone rocks, unique strata and slot canyons, all of which offer some unique Nevada landscape photographic opportunities. The headline attraction and most popular item of interest on the trail is the eyecatching Fire Wave rock formation with pastel coloured pink and tan sandstone stripes that resemble an ocean wave.
This trail highlights some of the more unique and colourful rock formations and distinctive scenery that you can find in this spectacular Nevadan state park that's right in the middle of the Mojave Desert.
